Changing your University Password on a Macintosh is a two step process that must be conducted from your office desktop or laptop computer.
Your University Password authenticates you for access to a variety of online services, including your e-mail, helios data storage, Segue, and WebAdvisor. To enhance security it is recommended that you reset your computer user account password to match your University Password.
PART 1 – Password Change on the Web
- Open a web browser to https://webmail.southwestern.edu/cgi-bin/password/index.cgi
- Enter your old password followed by a new password (twice) that meets the security requirements for a University Password at Southwestern. Click Change Password.
Note: You must choose a new password that is completely unique and different then your last. You can not select the same password and simply make a small change to it. (i.e. ‘Password1′ can not be changed to ‘Password2′ or ‘1passWord’)
